About the UIF Program
The University Innovation Fellows Program supports students in becoming change agents at their universities. The Fellows are an international community of more than 2,200 students from a wide range of disciplines at 267 universities around the world who are committed to empowering their peers with necessary knowledge, skills and innovative mindsets they need to be well prepared for the economy of the future. To achieve this, the Fellows are committed to sustainable institutional change and creating opportunities for students to explore entrepreneurship, innovation, creativity, design thinking and entrepreneurship at their institutions.
The program is conducted by the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design (d.school) at Stanford University. Fellows are carefully selected at their universities, undergo an elaborate selection/application process, and after their preliminary admission as UIF candidates, they complete a six-week remote course program with integrated performance reviews. Based on their performance during the training period, a decision is made on their final admission as a Fellow.
