Why come to Salzburg?

Honestly, why not? Salzburg has just been awarded the title “Best in Travel 2020” by Lonely Planet - seems about right to take the chance and visit such a beautiful city, doesn’t it? Situated on the northern edge of the Alps, Salzburg is the place to be winter! Also, it’s the capital city of the federal state of Salzburg, which, with together with eight others, forms the country Austria. It’s widely known for being ideal to go skiing and do other activities in the snow. Of course, you will get to experience outdoor activities in the picturesque landscape in the surroundings of Salzburg!

With about 150.000 inhabitants, we have more than enough space to accommodate a few more people. In summer, the Salzburg Festival (which is famous worldwide for its operas and concerts with all the big stars) attracts millions of tourists. Also, the film “The Sound of Music” has played its part when it comes Salzburg’s fame. If that’s still not enough for you, you might want to know that Salzburg is also the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - our city is really well-known in the musical world. Additionally, you can’t miss this chance to get insider hints from real (or as we like to say in German: “waschecht”) Salzburg people!

What’s going to await you? The final program is to be released in January, but so far, we can tell you this: You definitely don’t want to miss our Meetup! We are going to have incredibly interesting workshops about the most exciting topics at the most beautiful locations as well as a visit to one of the biggest companies in Salzburg! And even more: We have a whole day reserved for fun activities outside, for example skiing. Don’t worry, if you don’t want to ski, there’ll be alternative activities, such as sledding. Of course, there will still be sufficient time to get to know the other participants, for example at the Pizza-get-together on the first evening. And if pizza can’t convince you, we don’t know what can...
